The regulations on limited-duration parking are essential for optimising the use of urban space and improving traffic flow. These regulations are based on a series of specific signs and rules, such as semi-monthly alternate parking and the blue zone, which impose precise constraints to better control the occupation of parking spaces.

D. Limited-duration parking: rules and regulations

The E5 sign prohibits parking from the 1st to the 15th of the month

With an E5 sign, parking is prohibited from the first to the fifteenth day of each month.

The E7 sign prohibits parking from the 16th to the end of the month

The E7 sign prohibits parking from the sixteenth day to the end of each month. It is important to bear in mind that not all months have 31 days; the last day of the month must therefore be taken into account.

Alternate parking throughout the built-up area

This rule applies to all carriageways within the built-up area, excluding verges. Parking is permitted on the carriageway: from the first to the fifteenth of the month on the odd-numbered side, and from the sixteenth to the end of the month on the even-numbered side.

Understanding and respecting the rules on limited-duration parking, as well as the proper use of the parking disc, is essential to avoid fines and promote traffic flow in urban areas. Compliance with these rules contributes to the fair sharing of public space among all users.
